Attorney General: Execution of Amrozi et al to be as scheduled
November 4th, 2008 | by Indonesia News |Attorney General Hendarman Supandji said here on Friday that the schedule for the execution of first Bali bombers Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudra remained early in November.
“Early in November. You can count it. Early in the month means not in the middle. The middle of the month is the 15th. So, it would be before the middle of the month,” he said after attending service awards presentation at the state palace here on Friday.
He said according to the existing rules his office was not obliged to tell the public about the date of the execution.
“I do not have the obligation to tell the public. Certainly it will be made known to the convicts,” he said.
He said their families meanwhile would be notified according to the request of the convicts including their last will.
“There is a regulation about it. It will be made known to the convicts in time. At the time the convicts will be asked if they have something to tell or if they have a will,” he said.
