Flandy Limple and Vita Marissa has failed to defend their title on mix double at Aviva Singapore Super Series 2008 after lost on rubber game against Songphon Anugritayawon and Kunchala Voravichitchaikul from Thailand with a really tight game.

Flavi lost at first game 20-22, but they won on the second game with the exact score 22-20. On the third game, Flavi lost 18-21. While others Indonesian player still moving forward to the second round that will be held tomorrow start at 02.00 pm local time.

Mix double number one rank Nova Widhianto and Lilyana Natsir were forced to play a rubber game by Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/ Yu Yan Vanesa Neo from Thailand, 19-21, 21-5, 21-14. The third mix double pair from Indoensia Muhammad Rijal/ Greysia Polii won the game 20-22, 21-17 and 21-9 from Singapore pair Riky Widianto/ Lei Yao.

Others Indonesian pair who played on the first round is Anggun Nugroho/ Endang Nursugianti should admit the superiority of runner up of world championship last year Zheng Bo/Gao Ling with straight set 21-6, 21-11.

On woman single Indonesia are represented by Adriyanti Firdasari and Pia Zebadia Bernadette won their first round, Adriayanti also known as Firda beat Rusian Eketerina Ananina 21-14, 21-13 while Pia beat Canadian Chermaine Reid 21-17, 21-12.

On women double, Vita Marissa that paired with the others mix double player Lilyana Natsir won easily on their first game by beating Bo Li/ Thing Thing Thng from Singapore 21-8, 21-10. Jo Novita/ Greysia Polii beat Nicole Grether/ Chermaine Reid 21-17, 21-18, and the last woman double from Indonesia Endang Nursugianti/ Rani Mundiasti won the battle against Singaporean Shinta Mulia Sari/ Lei Yao 13-21, 21-13,
22-20.

While Hendra Aprida Gunangan and Joko Riyadi choose to walk over from the game against Guo Zhengdong/ Xie Zhong Bo, Mohammad Ahsan/ Bona Septano won the three game battles against Malaysian Thien How Hoon/ Soon Hock Ong 16-21, 21-14, 22-20. Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki/ Rian Sukmawan beat a strong veteran from Denmark, Martin Lundgaard Hansen/ Jens Eriksen 21-19, 17-21, 23-21. And Alvent Yuliaton Chandra/ Luluk Hadiato beat Korean Sung Hyun Ko/ Yi Goo Kwon 21-16, 21-16. The only Indonesian man single Simon Santoso won a straight set game 21-10, 21-18 from Scott Evans.

Second round would be hard for woman single, Firda would play against the Pi Hongyan and Pia play against Whang Chen. But for the other it seems like Indonesian still have a big chance to going through to the next round.
