China dumped South Korea in Thomas Cup final
May 19th, 2008 | by Indonesia First |Jakarta - The Chinese Thomas Cup team succeeded in retaining the prestigious Thomas Cup after defeating South Korea 3-1 in the final at Senayan Sports Hall here on Sunday.
The second Chinese doubles Xie Zhongbo and Guo Zhendong paved their way to victory after overpowering their South Korean opponents Lee Jae Jin and Hwang Ji Man 21-12, 19-21.
With the victory, China was leading with a score 3-1. Practically the last singles match between Shong Seung Mo was not played, because win or lose, it would not affect China`s victory.
