Hackers get inside World Bank computer
October 13th, 2008 | by Indonesia First |Internet hackers have compromised the internal system of the World Bank.
Fox News has revealed the bank’s internal networks were opened by outside attackers at least six times in the last year.
Reporters cited internal memos in reporting that the bank had been attacked with spyware at least twice from IP addresses originating in China.
The memos recommended that each of the servers be completely erased and restored to eliminate any malicious code and that all internal passwords be changed.
The World Bank has meanwhile denied the Fox item and says a lot of the report was based on unattributed sources and out of context emails.
