Cinta Laura had icon ‘gak ada oejjekk, beuucekkj’, said that she was proud invited as special invitation by KD in surprise party, (Sunday 23/3).
What do you think about Cinta Laura as a New Icon in Indonesia Celebrity ?

Why is language become such a big problem for many people in Indonesia. Her english is fluent ‘cos she was living abroad (da’a), she’s learning to speak Indonesian and she loves and proud to be an Indonesian.
Please don’t just judge her only by the way she talk.

Sayang sekali, banyak anak campuran yg tidak bisa berbahasa Indonesia. Ibu saya dari Indonesia dan bapa orang Swiss, saya bersyukur bahwa ibu saya berbicara bahasa Indonesia selalu, sejak saya baby ,walau saya tidak pernah tinggal di Indonesia. Saya kira Cinta Laura seharusnya bisa (adaptasi?) dengan culture dan bahasa Indonesia, apa lagi kalau dia tinggal di Indonesia.

ok. im a friend of one of cinta laura’s best friend from her old school (ISB) & she told me that she speaks indonesian fluently among her friends. seriously. bt the accent thing is just a ‘tool’ to attract the media n to gain fans. shes all confident n bragging about studying in the US, what if she doesnt get her visa cuz shes an idiot? shame

Cinta should be able to speak Indonesian fluently by now. I mean, It looks like she’s been living in Indonesia for at least 2 years full time. Having an indon mum should help too.
I guess the funny accent and the over the top “jet set” life style portrayed are a marketing strategy for her. And everyone shold realise that and not taking it too seriously.
But I take note that Cinta teaches English for the disadvanteged children. If it’s true, that’s a real plus for me.
